"kormos" in Greek means "log" or more precisely "trunk" and since as soon as they hear "log" you think of Yule/Christmas log, we have classified the recipe for Greek kormos at Christmas as well, but very iced, you will appreciate it just as well in the middle of summer, especially since, even at 40° in the shade, you will not risk sweating while working to prepare it, the recipe is so easy.

Remove the margarine from the refrigerator about 2 hours beforehand to soften it.

    In a bowl...

    1. Beat the margarine and sugar in a mixer.
    2. Add the cocoa and continue beating.
    3. Add the egg and walnuts.

    In another bowl...

    1. Crush the cookies into small squares.
    2. Add the cup of milk.
    3. Pour the mixture into the first bowl.

Gently work the mixture with your hands to blend the ingredients without turning it into a... puree.

Prepare a large sheet of aluminum foil and wrap your cake in it, shaping it into a log. For decoration, sprinkle the log with grated chocolate pieces. Let it cool for about 2 hours, and your kormos is ready.

    Notes

A sfinaki (small glass) of cognac in the mixture will bring its aroma for connoisseurs.
